The 5th Annual Open Water Tournament Huge Sucess

The Open Water Tournament is the UK's only outdoor water polo tournament, this years event was the biggest and best ever, attracting men's and women's teams from all over the UK and Europe.

Together with Ilkeston and Matlock water polo clubs, South Derbyshire helped to organise and run the Open Water Tournament, under the watchful eye of Jim Evans - chief tournament organiser.

The competition was played at a high standard and in good spirits despite the less than perfect weather conditions prior to the big day.  The 4 purpose build lake pitches were full all day Saturday with teams battling it out for the Open Water title.

The overall Women's winners this year were Penguin B.  With the Men's trophy going to Havendale.
